Conservative Talking Points
Busy Obama - Obama's campaign manager announced that the Senator is going to begin to limit debates and forums. Excuses include the large number of debates in which the Senator has already participated and the need to manage his schedule more efficiently. Based on Obama's previous statements and positions, one can only assume that the Senator is busy planning to meet with dictators, communist countries, and other popular world villains.
Devil??? This week Edwards called Coulter "she-devil" while the nut that runs Iran called Israel the bearer of Satan. This leaves all sorts of questions open, including is Ann Coulter Jewish? Should Satan be involved in modern political discussions? Does the color of Satan's skin instantly make him a Republican? How does Ahmadinejad know Satan so well? Is name calling a last resort for those lacking substance?
Bye Bye Boogie Man - The world received a few minutes of silent Democrats this week as their favorite boogie man, Karl Rove, decided to leave the Administration. Karl Rove said that he wanted to spend more time with his family, Bush was sad, and the Democrats were utterly confused. I would like to personally say farewell to this great partisan and irritator of all things liberal. Goodbye, Mr. Rove. You were called many names: Darth Rove, Dictator, Puppetmaster, Destructor, etc.....but we Republicans, although we have not always agreed with you, will always remember you as the guy that kept Gore and Kerry out of the White House. G-d bless you Mr. Rove!
Unpopular? A new CNN poll indicates that a majority of Americans are disappointed in President Bush. Pretty boring news right? I mean that's been the case for a few years now. The more interesting news is that the majority of Americans are also disappointed in the Democrat controlled Congress. Now the difference between a President Bush and the Democratic majority is that Bush doesn't care. But the Democrats!!!! Populists need to be popular. I suggest a tax cut or a little faith-based discussion--that usually cheers up Americans.
I'd RATHER not - I guess the exit of Karl Rove got the media all excited again, because Dan Rather has decided to do a report on the election fiasco of 2000. I thought that Conservatives are always accused of living in the past; so I'm not sure what the obsession with the 2000 election is with your average liberal. Perhaps this issue needs to be resolved for the world to move forward, and this must be the justification for "in-touch" journalists like Dan Rather. In other news, questions still remain regarding how Chinese products continue to prove defective with the potential to harm all of our children; two hurricanes move towards the U.S.; and Iran and Venezuela move forward with their aggression policy towards the United States. |
