Conservative Talking Points
Donkey Brawl 1 - Clinton and Edwards were overheard this week trying to limit the number of Presidential debate participants in order to strike a more serious chord. This outraged the marginal Democrat contenders including Dennis Kucinich who felt that the debates shouldn't be limited. I agree with Kucinich and feel that the Democrats should strongly consider not offending the strong constituency that Kucinich represents: Failed Socialist Vegan Mayors.
Busy Busy Busy - Top Democrat Presidential candidates have signed up for the first gay debate in Presidential history. I seem to recall about a month ago the media lauding the Democrats for participating in a religious presidential forum. I think the Democrat Presidential candidates are working much harder than the Republicans. It must be exhausting to be so many different and competing things to so many people. Next stop: Oxymoron Forum.
And She's Off - Cindy Sheehan officially launched her campaign this week to unseat Speaker Pelosi. Representing the failed anti-war movement, Cindy Sheehan is using a quixotic anti-Pelosi strategy, choosing to focus on the impeachment of George Bush, which, if she were elected, would be impossible as he would, of course, be gone. Good luck to you Cindy.
Moore Gore? Draft Al Gore supporters delivered 100,000 signatures to Al's office this week in an effort to convince him to jump into the political fray. Why not? Al Gore is Mr. Green these days and he could recruit Michael Moore who is Mr. Healthcare; together the two could use their collective ability to identify problems, pose unrealistic solutions, and complain nothing is happening --the PERFECT Dem Dream Team.
Donkey Brawl 2- Clinton is trying to repeal the original authorization for war and Obama calls her plan "convoluted". Obama, having never passed anything of substance in his very short Senate career, is adept at introducing and, of course, identifying convoluted plans such as Hillary's.
