Conservative Talking Points

Castro’s New Best Friend -- Cuba's "health" minister praised Michael Moore this week for highlighting Cuba's health care system in Moore's newest political documentary. Cuba's health minister admitted, however, that his country isn't the best judge of health standards, because by communist health standards Michael Moore's 500 pounds and grim demeanor put him in the 100th percentile for bloated communist tool.

Oh No A Veto -- In response to Democratic spending in Congress, President Bush declared that: "I will use my veto to stop tax increases and runaway spending that threaten the strength of our economy and the prosperity of our people," Never used for fiscally responsible purposes, Bush's 500th veto threat strikes fear in the hearts of anybody? Anybody?

How Do They Do It?? -- Obama's new Medicare plan promises to save seniors $157 billion. How does he do it you ask? Obama's plan, of course, includes repealing tax rebates for the rich. The Democratic Party has given Obama a number and asked him to stand at the back of the long line forming behind all of the other Democrats who are planning to fund their own crackpot projects by taxing the rich.

The Senate Lives! -- The Democrat controlled Congress failed the American public on immigration and now failed to achieve their goal of ousting Alberto Gonzales. Well, of course, nothing is happening in the Capitol; the Senate's star players, Obama and Clinton, are out talking about how much they are achieving in the Senate.

Gore + Global Meltdown = Rockstar-- Al Gore lobbied very hard this week to book the Red Hot Chili Peppers for his Live Earth concert. Gore was insistent: "I was pushing and pushing them that no matter how difficult it was, that it was important." That little factoid should solidify Gore's career as a political loser in not just the 90's, but straight through the millennium.
