Conservative Talking Points
Name That Position - Edwards lashed out at Hillary Clinton this week for believing that America is safer since 9/11. Edwards also attacked the Republican candidates for maintaining this position. Kudos to Ex-VP and Ex-Senator Edwards for voting to support the Iraq war, retracting his support during the 2004 campaign, later flip-flopping and stating that America is safer since 9/11 and now returning to his anti-Iraq position. Kerry should have been Edwards' VP, he calls himself a flip-flopper.
The Alabama Standard - In the Alabama State Senate they resolve their differences a little more forcefully than us folks in Washington. This past week, a Republican senator punched out a Democratic senator over a slur. The indignant senator was quoted as saying that "I responded to his comment with my right hand." An informal poll indicates that a majority of Americans prefer this method of resolving political differences especially if the politicians retaliate by punches to the mouth.
Errrrrr…Pets Across America, a national adoption organization, blamed recent increases in cat breeding on global warming. Pets Across America has, of course, joined the latest trend of Americans unwilling to accept bizarre situations, failures, or freak occurrences and instead blaming everything on global warming. As I write this I apologize for any mispellllingssss or eerrors as global warming has struck my brain, hands, and creative thought process.
Money Money Money - The Chicago Tribune reported that Al Gore was recently swamped at a book signing. Apparently it looked like a regular campaign rally with t-shirts, buttons, a speech on the Iraq war and legions of fans. Al Gore has successfully championed the causes of the global warming activists, anti-war activists, and college students in the ongoing patriotic activity of selling his newly released book. Why chant "Run Al Run" when you can chant "Sell-out Al, Sell-out!"
What Do Democrats Pray For? Obama, Clinton, and Edwards met up to discuss their faith this week. Clearly, pro-family, pro-life, and pro-religious freedom aren't in their platforms; so what was this meeting exactly? Perhaps an attempt to receive G-D's endorsement? This Republican must remind the candidates that we are at G-D's headquarters day in and day out, our candidates mention him more than Reagan, our President has a direct line to him. Barking up the wrong biblical tree.
