Conservative Talking Points
Holiday Gift - Speaker Pelosi assured Americans that the Democrats will pass an Iraq bill by Memorial Day. Americans aren't really clear about what the Democratic plan for Iraq entails but are confident that there will be at least 100 ineffectual legislative hours devoted to it.
The South Shall Cry Again - Remarking on Jimmy Carter's historic victory, John Edwards argued for another Southerner in the White House this week. Carter is always a strong model for a Presidential candidate: simple Southerner turned President turned raving leftist socialist turned irate anti-Israel propagandist. Get ready to start calling him "Johnny" Edwards.
Awww...Their First Vote - The Democrats are planning a no-confidence vote on the Attorney General. The White House ridiculed the vote as being a parliamentary measure not consistent with the history of American civics. Now maybe this vote isn't consistent with American civics, but at least the Democrats are actually passing something, which is a big step for such an ambitious group of lawmakers.
Carter Speaks! - The White House continued their onslaught on Democrats this week calling Jimmy Carter increasingly irrelevant. Carter recently lashed out at the Bush presidency ridiculing Bush's foreign policy record and sneering at Bush's relationship with Tony Blair. Apparently the Noble Peace Prize comes with a custom lobotomy.
Feature Attraction - Canadian classrooms are abuzz about Al Gore's environmental snuff film. The film is being shown multiple times in many Canadian schools in an attempt to brainwash young Canadians into finding Al Gore and his philosophy interesting. That's what we export to Canada? No wonder they don't like us. |
